We recommend measuring your bra size every 6-12 months, or whenever you notice significant changes in your body. Weight fluctuations, hormonal changes, pregnancy, and aging can all affect your bra size.

Different brands use slightly different sizing standards and fit models. A 34C in one brand might fit like a 32D in another. Always check the brand’s specific size chart and read reviews about how their bras fit.

The main difference is in cup size progression after D. US sizing typically goes D-DD-DDD-G, while UK sizing goes D-DD-E-F. Our calculator provides both for your convenience.

The band should be snug enough to stay in place without riding up, but not so tight that it’s uncomfortable or leaves marks. You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably under the band.

It’s very common to have slightly different sized breasts. Always fit to the larger breast for comfort. You can use padding or inserts to balance the smaller side if desired.

A well-fitting bra will have a band that stays parallel to the floor, cups that fully contain your breast tissue without gaping or spillage, and straps that stay in place without digging in.

Sports bras often use different sizing (S, M, L) or bra sizing with more compression. Check the specific brand’s size chart, as sizing can vary significantly between brands.

For maternity bras, measure when your breasts are at their fullest (usually in the morning). Nursing bras should have some room for fluctuation and easy access for breastfeeding.

If you’re between sizes, consider your breast shape and personal preference. Fuller breasts may do better rounding up, while less projected breasts may prefer rounding down. Try both sizes if possible.
